South Kensington Inquiry

Felicity Buchan MP spoke at the South Kensington Public Inquiry to oppose the TfL / Native Land bid to redevelop the tube station.

The MP for Kensington backed the Council's decision to block this redevelopment, that would be out of keeping with the Victorian character of the area.

Felicity said:

"I continue to be opposed to TfL / Native Land's proposed redevelopment of South Kensington tube station. They are trying to tie the introduction of step-free access to the redevelopment, however this is misleading as TfL could, as part of its station improvement works, introduce step-free separately. I am pleased that the Council has put together an excellent legal team to defend its decision and I hope that the Inquiry will find in their favour."
