Felicity Buchan has welcomed the Chancellor's Budget 2023.

The headline announcements include:

  • 30 hours of free childcare per week for children aged between 9 months and 4 years.
  • Abolishing the lifetime allowance and increasing the annual allowance on pensions to £60,000, encouraging more doctors back into the NHS.
  • Tax cuts for businesses investing in the UK through full-expensing for three years.
  • 12 new investment zones across the UK, which will boost economic growth in all four nations.

Felicity said:

"At the start of the year, the Prime Minister pledged that we would halve inflation, reduce the national debt and grow the economy in 2023, and this Budget delivers on all those counts."
