Following the fire at Emperor's Gate on March 1st, I want to thank the London Fire Brigade, local police, and RBKC for their quick response. Their efforts kept residents safe and limited the damage and injuries caused by the incident.
Inflation has fallen from 11.1% to 4.0%, the economy has performed better than forecast, wages are rising, mortgage rates are starting to come down, the economy has outperformed European neighbours and debt is on track to fall as a share of GDP.

After three fire incidents in January on London buses, I wrote to TfL with safety concerns and asking for clarification. Of the three fires that took place, two were on electric buses and one was on a hybrid bus.
It has been a significant week in my Ministerial role. On Wednesday, I announced £220m of money allocated to Local Authorities for rough sleeping and homelessness measures. This consists of £107m to tackle rough sleeping and £109m for homelessness prevention.
I hosted Chief Executives and managing directors from Housing Associations at a parliamentary roundtable. The purpose of the meeting was to raise the concerns of constituents who are resident in social housing in Kensington.
We wrote an open letter to Sadiq Khan calling on him to re-open Notting Hill Police Station or, at the very least, make a decision to sell the station so Kensington and Chelsea could put in a bid to buy it back. You can read the letter HERE.
I was delighted to attend a service at Holland Park Synagogue to celebrate the appointment of their new Rabbi, Dayan Daniel Kada. It was an interfaith service with representatives of several churches, Al Manaar mosque and many councillors in attendance.
