This week, I met (virtually) with DEFRA Minister, Robbie Moore MP, and his team of officials to raise flooding issues. 

Last week, I shared the exciting news that Cllr Dahabo Isse, who represents Colville Ward, had left Kensington Labour to join the local Conservatives. 

This Wednesday, we had the opportunity to catch up and discuss the most important issues affecting Kensington here in Parliament.

This week I want to lead with some good national news - inflation is down again and now stands at 3.4 percent.

The number of City Hall and TfL officials on over £100k has doubled since Sadiq Khan became Mayor of London. 

Despite ballooning staff costs, we've seen a record number of strikes, frequent station closures and longer waiting times for tubes and buses. 

I have been catching up with some of our local schools in Kensington and one theme keeps coming up: the Labour Party's proposals to remove the VAT (20% tax) exemption for independent schools. 

I am pleased to share that, as of this week, London Fire Brigade (LFB) has completed all 29 recommendations directed at the Brigade by the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 1 Report. 

I want to thank the almost 3,000 local people who have signed my petition to stop TfL's Holland Park Roundabout Cycle Lane Proposals. 

This week, Paddington station had to close temporarily after two tube lines were submerged due to heavy flooding. This is another reminder that our area of central London is prone to flooding. 

It was great to be asked to go on BBC London Politics where I had the opportunity to address key issues affecting Londoners. 

I highlighted the significance of the National Insurance cut in the Budget, which reduces the burden on hardworking families by 4 percent overall.

I have concerns about the NHS's plans to use same day access hubs to triage patients who contact their general practice. In these hubs, they will assess patients’ needs and refer them.
