The world has been grappling with high inflation, caused by the pandemic and Putin’s weaponisation of energy, which is why the Prime Minister made it his top priority to halve inflation. Thanks to action taken by the Government – such as holding down energy bills and taking responsible decisions
I am calling on Sadiq Khan to drop his plans to increase his share of council tax next year by 8.6% - almost twice the rate of inflation. Under Sadiq Khan, the Mayor’s share of council tax has increased by 70.8% - from £276.00 in 2017 to £471.40 for an average Band D household next year.
Ministers and TFL agreed a new £250 million funding injection for 2024 to improve London’s transport system bringing total central government funding to £6.6bn since the beginning of the pandemic.

Over 1,000 residents have signed my petition to Sadiq Khan to stop the frequent and unacceptable tube station closures at Holland Park and Lancaster Gate.
Since Jan 2022, both of these stations have been closed more than 100 times due to staff shortages.
Sadiq Khan has been playing politics with Notting Hill Police Station. He closed it to the public in 2017 – and in 6 years still hasn’t made his mind up on whether to sell it.
